The housings for the 800 and 900 series are made of a special extremely durable PE material. Even under the harshest conditions – e.g. in language labs – they demonstrate their reliability and user durability by remaining undamaged. The exterior can be cleaned with normal detergents and is completely recyclable.
ACOUSTIC AND ELECTRICAL ISOLATION
Special attention has been paid to the acoustic and electrical isolation between the microphone and headphone to minimize crosstalking effects on multi-channel intercom systems.
EARPADS
The comfortable, hygienic ear pads provide excellent insulation from outside noise without affecting wearer comfort over long periods of time. Thus, even long listening sessions in noisy environments are possible.
MICROPHONE BOOM
A specialty from MB QUART on the 900 models: a new type of unbreakable boom that can rotate the microphone into any desired position – left or right. In addition to this, a high-quality mic switch has been integrated which is capable of reliably turning off the microphone in the boom’s upper operating range.
MICROPHONE
The unbalanced microphones (dynamic and electret) on the 800 series are solely designed as cardioids and feature excellent front-to-back ratios. The highly effective windscreen is integrated in the mic head. Mics on the 900 series are generally balanced. In spite of the small dimensions the hemispherical windscreen gives optimal results. The dynamic microphones are all designed as cardioids, apart from the 900 SC in which a hyper-cardioid studio condenser
is used. All MB QUART microphones are especially developed for near field use.
DIAPHRAGM
Good headphones are able to perfectly reproduce an infinite variety of sounds.
